The March on Washington Realize the Dream organizers are so looking for volunteers to assist with their official events. This is a great way for DC residents to become involved. Registration is required.

The District of Columbia welcomes the 50th Anniversary Realize the Dream March and Rally and the myriad of official events.  The official March and Rally will be held on Saturday, August 24 at the Lincoln Memorial, Global Freedom Festival will be held on Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25 and the “Let Freedom Ring Ceremony and Program”  will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013.  On behalf of the District of Columbia Government, Serve DC – The Mayor’s Office on Volunteerism, is recruiting volunteers to serve in various capacities over anniversary week, especially Saturday, August 24 through Wednesday, August 28, to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for all District residents and visitors.

March on Washington volunteers will be activated on an as-needed basis, therefore Serve DC cannot guarantee specific tasks, duties or dates at this time.
